My Daily Reads…

September11

So when I’m not working I have become addicted to the following sites and check them very often:

TextsFromLastNight.com – Hilarious, hilarious, hilarious.

Altas Obscura – Just some very weird stuff, I love it. Here is a good example.

Curious Expeditions – Another good one with weird places to visit.

Dark Roasted Blend – This is a new one and I’m still not sure if I love it.

And then I have like 250 sites I watch via RSS but most of those are tech and not cool stuff like this.

SC Rep. Joe Wilson Should Resign!

September9

Joe Wilson is a disgrace to his state and America! Plus a total crazy who believes the crap fox news puts out. People like this give republicans a bad name and why I wince every time someone says the word, your party is full of stupid people, good luck with that plan.

Step 1: Fill Party With Idiots and Religious Zealouts
Step 2: ?
Step 3: World Domination / Return of Jesus?

If you would like to see something that explains death panels
please watch this movie. No really they are totally real! Cause everyone loves killing old people, especially liberals. Really?

Living Bridges, Old Maps, And Airships

September6

Check this out! Pictures of living bridges, chairs, and other weird stuff. I’m also a big fan of this post and this one of some really old beautiful maps.

Hella Long Summer Finally Fading Away!

September6

It has been a mind numbing exhausting summer for me, just absolutely fucking mind numbing, and it is finally over which feels just awesome, thank you jebus! I am looking forward to the apartment not being a oven so I can be a bit more productive at work! And the increased energy I’ll have since the apartment won’t be roasting me at 95 degrees daily.

And looking forward to a few trips! Heading to TechCrunch50 in San Fran which I have been wanting to go too since it started. I love seeing what other people are building and just the passion behind what they are doing. Plus goes along with my job which is providing them the hosting tools they need! And going to spend a few days looking around San Francisco and specifically the Asian Art Museum and seeing the Lords Of The Samurai. And going to the Defrag conference in Denver in November to see how that is.

In ultimate frisbee and travel news I’m going to be playing in sectionals/regionals/harvest over the coming months on a local Denver coed team and our alumni team. Might try to do a tournament in hawaii or mexico on the beach early next year too. And I’m hoping to visit Ireland and Steve/Rose early next year!

What am I listening too right now? A lot of trashy euro pop which I enjoy but I really love La Roux, just amazing and can’t wait for her next album. I’m also liking the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album.

And I just discovered the new Killers album as I’m often slow to find music, but I really really love the song “Human“:

I did my best to notice
When the call came down the line
Up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
And sometimes I get nervous
When I see an open door
Close your eyes
Clear your heart…
Cut the cord

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I’m on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?

Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance,
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye
Wish me well..
You’ve gotta let me go

I’ve been in Fayetteville for a few days visiting family and friends. Came down for my dad’s 60th birthday which was today and so far has been a great trip, although wish I could squeeze in a tad more time to catch up with everyone in between work and family.

This is bwb’s personal blog, so he can share his thoughts with the world, however scary or silly they might be. Plus family and friends can track what I am up to, and where I am in the world.

I am pretty simple. I love Mangos. I love the ocean (although mostly at sunset, as I’m a ginger). I love to travel, eat exotic food, do long bike rides, read, and use my imagination. At some point, I decided it was better to be a pirate captain than an admiral. I am a globalist and see the entire world as my responsibility and playground. And I am married to an amazing woman who makes life even more fun :)! And we are now the proud parents of Calico Jack :).
